About
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides culturally and linguistically responsive services addressing the practical challenges newcomers face in the United States. Our work includes education and workforce pathways, immigrant rights education and advocacy, language support, financial literacy, behavioral and mental health initiatives, essential-needs assistance, and connections to housing, healthcare, and employment.
Through our Community Resource & Learning Center and partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, service providers, and businesses, CIMS reduces barriers to opportunity and strengthens the economic and social integration of immigrant and refugee families.
CIMS serves diverse communities throughout Greater Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania, with particular capacity to support African immigrants, refugees, and multilingual families.
Our goal extends beyond meeting immediate needs to creating pathways toward education, economic mobility, self-sufficiency, civic participation, and long-term community belonging.
